Stress does not directly cause cancer

Stress leads to many harmful behaviors that increase the risk of cancer such as smoking, overeating, drinking alcohol

Stress decreases the function of your immune system's ability to fight off cancer
 
Her whole person approach includes an 8 week stress management and resiliency program for her patients
 
How yoga and meditation are great tools to manage stress
 
Lifestyle Medicine principles of stress management, sleep, nutrition, social connection, exercise and avoiding substance abuse optimize the health, well-being and outcome from cancer
 
Lifestyle Medicine principles help reduce the risk of cancer as well -- top modifiable risk factors include smoking and obesity
 
Alcohol is a risk factor for breast cancer-limit to 1 alcoholic drink/day
